Used to snowmobile here and rent cabins in the 90's and 2000's. So sad it burned down. It had the coolest old Post Office, store and restaurant. Best service anywhere. Got drunk many a time in the bar and restaurant. This place was paradise. Hopefully the new owner's can rise up and bring it back to what it used to be or even better. Live off grid and have to snowmobile into my new house in winter and the reason I had the chones to buy my new home and do that was because of Dardanelle Resort!

This is a resort on the way on the Mono lake and Mammoth lakes via Sonora. We had to stop at the provision store to check which was the nearest gas station. The lady managing the store kindly explained the route correctly and provided accurate information about the nearby gas stations. In fact she even provided us two gallons of fuel for our car at a lower price than the the gas station we later found at Bridgeport ( which the lady mentioned). Thanks to the lady we were able to drive out from there with a peace of mind .

This has always been one of our favorite spots on the planet; a place to spend a few minutes enjoying an ice cream or other delight. Sadly, all of this is lost after the Donnell Fire. Hopefully the owners will be able to replicate Kennedy Meadows experience and recreate a similar resort.

It was interesting going back up the Sonora Pass to check out the landscape after the fire.I was surprised to see that Dardanelle was getting back on its feet. The store itself is burnt down but the construction is underway. They are clearing the land and they have a portable store up and Saturday night they had a band playing rock and roll music.Pretty awesome .

This place is very nice but the people who take care are advertising as full hock ups. You will have electricity for lights only not 30 amp or 50 amps. So just expect this. Some sites are not leveled. Do you homework. The store is operating with ice available.

We have ALWAYS loved Dardanelles and have camped there for years. Such a tragedy that the fires came through and burnt so much history to the ground but, the owners are working hard to rebuild. Come support them, you won't be disappointed.

Absolutely loved this camp site. We originally wanted to go Pinecrest but it was full. We ended up driving further and happened upon Dardanelle and couldn't be happier. The staff were extremely friendly and the cost wasn't bad, $27 a night. All the camp spots were nicely spaced from each other, the river was maybe a 5 minute walk, and they had movie night for the kids. We plan to come back every year.

We stopped for lunch here and the patio/deck was open. We had a very nice waitress and the burger ,salad and fries were just great. Won't be going to Kennedy meadows for lunch ,this place has them beat for sure. Great people, and food!!
